Calgary (29-20-8) lost their most recent game, 5-2 to the Boston Bruins, but sit third in the Pacific Division with 66 points. “I think we’re a pretty frustrated group right now, having trouble scoring goals,” Blues forward Kyle Brodziak said. “It’s tough. We’ve got to find a way. Whatever it is we need to do, talk about it, work on things, we’ve got to find a way to be better.”

Colton Sissons gave the Predators a 1-0 lead at 4:45 of the first period on a wrist shot on the rush on the power play. He took a pass from Kyle Turris and shot it past Jake Allen for his seventh nhl authentic jerseys goal.

“We have a pretty good rivalry with them, so any time we can kind of assert our dominance against them, we’re all for it,” Sissons said. “We’ve been in some tough battles with them throughout the season and years prior, but it feels good to put them away like that at home.”

Kevin Fiala made it 2-0 at 14:21 of the first period. He led a 2-on-1 rush with Roman Josi jersey and beat Allen for his 20th goal.

Scott Hartnell gave the Predators a 3-0 lead at 1:20 of the second period. Calle Jarnkrok tracked down a rebound and made a pass that banked off Hartnell into the net for his 11th wholesale jerseys goal.

“For the last two weeks, [Hartnell] and his line have been excellent,” Predators coach Peter Laviolette said. “They’ve probably been our top-scoring line 5-on-5. They’ve chipped in big goals at the right time as well. [Hartnell] is working hard every day. He’s working hard every shift. He wants to win and he’s showing it by the way he’s playing.”

Austin Watson gave the Predators a 4-0 lead at 13:24 of the second period on a shorthanded breakaway for his eighth goal. Four of Watson’s eight goals this season have come against St. Louis.

“Maybe I get lucky against the Blues, I don’t know,” Watson said. “No, it’s a Central Division opponent. It’s a rivalry game for us. They always have a good team. It’s always a physical battle, and I think that gets the juices flowing a little bit. I think for me, that’s a good thing.”

Allen made 35 saves.

“It didn’t matter to me whether (the wait to enter the Hall) was one year or 10 years, I don’t think it really matters,” Andreychuk said. “The numbers and what I had done, there’s not much you can do but sit and wait. You think about this day that’s going to happen, you think you’re prepared for it and you’re really not…I’m extremely happy for everybody that’s around me, my inner circle that have been with me through thick and thin. Andreychuk is no stranger to waiting in hockey. It was 22 seasons before he finally got the lift the Stanley Cup as captain of the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2004, that signature moment of Andreychuk lifting the Cup over his hiad immortalized by a bronze statue that greets Bolts fans entering Ford Thunder Alley on their way to AMALIE Arena.

Now, fans will pass the statues of two Hockey Hall of Famers before Lightning games: Andreychuk and Lightning founder Phil Esposito.

“When you wait that long, you understand the value and how hard it is to achieve,” Andreychuk said. “I guess that’s kind of the same thing here. I look back on my career and you think about, nobody starts their career thinking they’re going to be a Hall of Famer. You just want to stay in the league. You just want to help your team win. After it’s all done and you look at your numbers and you think that maybe there’s a chance and people start to talk about it, but at the same time, it’s really out of your hands. I’m thankful this day came along for me, for my family.”

After Hampus Lindholm tied the game with a power-play goal of his own at the 7:17 mark of the third period, Nick Ritchie scored the eventual game winner with 2:02 remaining in regulation to lift the Ducks to a 2-1 win. The East seems to me to have more tempo and the West seems more heavy and physical, but we have to adapt our speed here, and I think the Rangers are one of those teams that are a hybrid; they’re big but they’re real quick as well.” Calgary skated at Central Park in New York on Saturday. “I thought we had a good pace with cheap jerseys from China today, a good practice,” forward Kris Versteeg said. “At the end we had a little fun. It’s more so about getting on the ice before tomorrow’s afternoon game.” The Flames hold the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference. “Two or three guys on the bench [after regulation on Friday] said, ‘We got a point, now let’s keep going,'” Gulutzan said. “They all recognize the value of every point.” Goalie Brian Elliott, who is 3-0-0 and has allowed six goals in his past three games, will make his fourth straight start.

Preview: Bruins at Penguins

The Boston Bruins will look to end a three-game losing streak (0-2-1). Boston had its best defensive performance of the three losses Friday against the Chicago Blackhawks, but was shut out for the second time in three games, 1-0. “My job is to coach and do everything I can,” Bruins coach Claude Julien told Comcast Sportsnet New England. “I’m not quitting on this team and I’m not quitting on anybody.” The New York Islanders shut out Boston 4-0 on Monday and the Detroit Red Wings defeated the Bruins 6-5 in a shootout on Wednesday. Boston, 3-5-2 in January, will play two of its next three games against the Pittsburgh Penguins, who defeated Boston 4-3 in overtime on Dec. 14 in their first meeting this season. Goaltender Tuukka Rask allowed four goals on 37 shots in that loss, and has given up at least three goals in four of his past five starts since making 25 saves to shut out the Florida Panthers on Jan. 7. Pittsburgh will return home, where it is 19-2-2, after playing twice on the road. The Penguins will try to win their fourth straight game after losing their previous three with Penguins jersey, and are 16-4-2 since the beginning of December. Pittsburgh defeated the Washington Capitals 8-7 in overtime at home on Monday before winning consecutive road games, 4-1 against the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday and 7-1 against the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday. “We’ve certainly been encouraged with the way our team is trending right now,” coach Mike Sullivan said, “because I think we’re becoming a much more difficult team to play against. I think we’re getting contributions throughout our lineup.” That surge has come without defensive leader Kris Letang, week-to-week with a lower-body injury sustained against the Red Wings on Jan. 14. In Letang’s defenseman Justin Schultz has continued to produce, with six assists in his past three games. Schultz is fourth on the Penguins in scoring with 32 points (seven goals, 25 assists), behind forwards Evgeni Malkin (52 points), Sidney Crosby (51) and Phil Kessel (44). Schultz’s defense partner, Trevor Daley, has one goal and three assists in his past three games. With fourth-line center Matt Cullen out approximately 3-4 weeks with a foot injury, forward Eric Fehr has slotted into his spot the past two games, with one goal and one assist.

Pens head coach Mike Sullivan is a fiery guy on the bench. Late in the third period Sullivan was tossed from the game and had to leave the bench. Second, when Pittsburgh did get the puck in the offensive zone (typically via a dump) St. Louis took away its space to be creative. And the Pens weren’t able to muster enough to score.

The Pens wanted to dictate the terms of the game with their style of play. But it was the Blues that turned this into a tightly checked, battle of field position. St. Louis took away Pittsburgh’s competitive advantage – their speed. A physical, slow game gave the Blues an edge and they exploited it.

Pittsburgh entered the game with the NHL’s 3rd-ranked power play. However, the unit went 0-for-5 against the Blues. It wasn’t like they didn’t have their chances – the most glaring were 2 posts hit by Nick Bonino jersey and Evgeni Malkin. But, again, they couldn’t solve Carter Hutton.

Pens defenseman Brian Dumoulin returned to action after missing 10 games with cheap jersey and a broken jaw. Dumoulin wore a protective face shield that covered his jaw. He logged 14:53 minutes of ice in the contest and blocked 4 shots.

The regulation loss to the Blues was only the Pens’ 3rd all season on home ice. The team is 20-3-2 on the year at PPG Paints Arena.

The 2017 NHL Trade Deadline passed Wednesday without any blockbusters. Several so-called rental players also stayed with their teams, as did many of the big-name players who had been headlining the rumor mill.

Eighteen trades were made Wednesday before the deadline came at 3 p.m. ET. Of the 33 players traded, 17 are playing in the American Hockey League jerseys.

There were a handful of potential impact trades made in preceding days, but it was the fewest amount of trades made and total players moved on deadline day since the lockout-shortened 2012-13 season, when 17 trades were made involving 30 players.
